As Dahe Daily reports on February 11, 2012, the Zhengzhou Municipal government issued the "Opinions" on the "Blue Sky Action & air pollution control work (hereinafter referred to as" views "), and took the PM2.5 monitoring and control as breakthrough, to fully start the air pollution control campaign of Zhengzhou in a bid to make the sky bluer.
The monitoring of PM2.5 shall begin in the fourth quarter of this year, and  the data is publicly available. The first sentence of this document says: Enable the people to breathe fresh air is the largest livelihood projects.
"Opinions" first points out, "In addition to natural causes, the main source of PM2.5 is vehicle exhaust, construction, coal combustion process".
To this end, the municipal party committee, the government decided to carry out a "blue sky" action within the city, with PM2.5 monitoring and control as a breakthrough, also would put the following aspects into an outstanding position, such as PM2.5 pollution monitoring and analysis, motor vehicle exhaust pollution control, soot pollution control and dust pollution control regulation focus. A comprehensive air pollution control battle was going to be started, and the air quality in our city, Zhengzhou, would be improved so as to make the sky bluer, and the masses of people throughout the city breathe fresh air.
As to the monitoring of PM2.5 pollution analysis , detailed arrangements are made in the "Opinions": led by the Municipal Environmental Protection Bureau, the Municipal Bureau of Finance, the Office co-started the PM2.5 monitoring. Requirements of the fourth quarter of this year is to carry out the PM2.5 monitoring. Published monitoring data.and PM2.5 monitoring equipment was put into use, special columns are going to be set up in the news media, electronic dynamic display would be seen in the Greentown Square and the railway station and other key areas, and air quality monitoring data would be timely disseminated ".
"Opinions" also requires PM2.5 monitoring and prevention work put into the environmental objectives of the Government for the year, and the work state of each quarter be shown in the news media publicly.
"Opinions" to further deepen the construction dust pollution control measures -
The keasures include: strict construction dust sewage declaration, site dust pollution control, junk dust pollution control, strict municipal solid waste transportation and disposal management. The aim is to reduce dust pollution in the process of waste transportation and disposal. Garbage removal should use enclosed tanks and wash with water spray. The main and secondary roads should be swept by mechanized dust collecting equipment and flushed by water.
